Siding

Exterior siding installation and replacement

Siding is the other half of keeping weather out of a house, and it fails more quietly than a roof does — there is no drip on the ceiling to tell you about it. Replacement starts by pulling the old material and looking at the sheathing and the house wrap behind it, since that is where rot and past water tracks show. New siding goes on over a proper weather barrier with the courses kept level and the laps running the right way, and the trim, corners and penetrations get detailed so water is shed outward rather than led behind the wall.

How We Work

1

Look at the Job

We come out and look at the actual work — what is there now, what is underneath it, and what condition it is really in. On a roof that means getting up on it rather than judging it from the driveway, because the decking under the shingles decides most of what happens next.

2

Scope & Materials

We walk you through what the job needs and what it does not, and settle the materials before anything is ordered. You get told what is being replaced and what is being kept, so there are no discoveries halfway through that change the number.

3

Protect & Build

The property gets covered before the work starts — landscaping, siding and windows on a tear-off, floors and fixtures on an interior job. Then the work goes in, and the site gets swept down at the end of each day rather than at the end of the job.

4

Walk It With You

We go over the finished work together before we leave, magnet-sweep the ground for nails on a roofing job, and haul the debris away. Anything that is not right gets put right then, not on a return visit you have to chase.
